[Data] Case Study on Problem Solving: Zinc Automotive Parts Shot Blasting Process
Eliminating shot blinding! Introduction of cases where shot blinding inspection and shot removal work have been abolished.
This document introduces a case study that addresses challenges in the shot blasting process for zinc automotive parts. In the hanger-type shot blasting, shot pellets are sprayed from above, and they hit the design surface, causing pellets with a diameter of φ0.40 or larger to get stuck in the recesses of the text area, which has a width of 0.45. Since the areas where the pellets get stuck are not consistent, it was necessary to check the entire text area. By creating and modifying a jig that allows for shot blasting directed downward onto the design surface, we resolved the issue of pellet blockage on the design surface.
